Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As Chair and on behalf of the Local Organising Committee of IMLB 2022, it is my great pleasure to extend an open invitation to you to attend IMLB 2022, to be hosted in Sydney Australia.
The IMLB meetings feature invited talks from recognised specialists in the field and will focus on progress in advanced lithium batteries for energy storage and conversion. The meeting will have an emphasis on both basic and applied research findings that have led to improved Li battery materials and to the understanding of the fundamental processes that determine and control electrochemical performance. A major theme of the meeting is to address advances not only in lithium-ion technologies and their current and future applications in transportation, commercial, aerospace and biomedical and other emerging industries. We also intend to highlight Australia’s resource strength in minerals used in lithium battery technologies and how Australia is now a recognised powerhouse in the field of battery minerals. An exceptionally strong technical program with internationally renowned invited speakers is being arranged.
CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, is proud to be hosting the 21st International Meeting Lithium Batteries (IMLB) - a meeting on Lithium battery materials and systems in Sydney, Australia from 26 June – 1 July 2022. The IMLB is the largest lithium battery research conference of its type and is held every two years.
Sydney, Australia, is one of the world’s most picturesque cities. Surrounded by a majestic Harbour and scattered with beaches, national parks and green areas, this is a city that entices you to explore. The majestic Sydney Harbour is best experienced by travelling on one of the many ferries or water taxis. Sydney is rich in history and it is recommended to lose yourself in the cobbled streets of the Rocks district and learn about the area’s rich heritage at one of the cities fantastic cultural institutions. Stylish, artistic Sydney is a city that’s both dynamic and cosmopolitan and proud of its place as Australia’s most recognisable international city.
We look forward to connecting with the lithium battery community over the coming two years and eagerly await your involvement and participation in IMLB 2022.
We look forward to your participation.
Yours sincerely
Dr Adam Best, CSIRO, Australia
Co-Chair and Host of the IMLB 2022
